Hey, Omnia fans.

Looks like Samsung and Verizon Wireless have a little holiday treat for you, and it's arriving earlier in the season than previously thought. Samsung Omnia will be available for online pre-ordering on VZW's site beginning tomorrow and for in-store pickups on December 8, a full week ahead of the rumored December 15th release date. The price will be $249, after a $70 rebate, with a 2-year contract.

This smartphone may not be the favorite of every mobile tech reviewer, but just the fact that Verizon didn't scrap the Wifi on it is reason enough to celebrate. The carrier has a long tradition of hobbling native phone features, so this is definitely a welcome change of pace.
