As great as it is to say that you'll be the "future owner of a Samsung i7500," French mobile carrier Bouygues Telecom has decided to knock off the model number altogether and call the Android-powered Samsung device a new name at launch in early July: the Galaxy.  Both Noah and John have done a fantastic job of covering the device to date, and thanks to them, we know that the device will offer:

"HSDPA 7.2Mbps / HSUPA 5.76Mbps (900/1700/2100 MHz)...a 3.2" AMOLED, capacitive touch display, 5MP Camera with autofocus and flash, WiFi, a 3.5mm audio jack, and 8GB of internal memory backed by a microSD memory card slot.  All of this goodness will be powered by a 528 MHz Qualcomm CPU running Android OS 1.5, and packed into a candybar-style device just 11.9mm thick."

We're still expecting the device to land in the United States before the year is out, as it has recently passed through the FCC.  Stay tuned!
