PhoneDog President Tom Klein and News Editor Aaron Baker are attending the Palm Pre Launch Party in Atlanta, GA.  Complete with Palm Pre demonstrations, executives from both Sprint and Palm, and Premier customers, the event is going to be big.  Stay tuned here as this blog is updated in real-time, beginning at 6 PM EST!

10:00-10:30 PM: Activation of personal Palm Pre
Was able to purchase my personal Palm Pre, and the accessories that I wanted (Touchstone charger and leather case).  Took some quick unboxing pictures that can be seen here.  Love the device so far!  I'll have a full writeup tomorrow.

9:00-10:00 PM: Question and Answer session

Question: Will the Palm Pre support video in the future? 
Answer: There will be feature updates in the future via OTA updates.

Question: Will the Application Catalog be expanded upon in the future?
Answer: Yes, initially all the applications will be free but more will come in the future.

Question: Can you do voice and data at the same time?
Answer: Yes, via CDMA (voice) and Wi-Fi (data) - can be used simultaneously.

Question: Is there a progress bar in the MP3 application?
Answer: Yes, there is.

Question: Can you transfer from old PalmOS to webOS?
Answer: Yes, program called Classic that converts from PalmOS to webOS.  Cost is free in downloads right now (may change).
