Motorola H17txt Bluetooth headset sports text-to-speech
@PhoneDog_Aaron

For those that receive text messages regularly, the Motorola H17txt might be for you. In addition to Motorola's CrystalTalk functionality, the H17txt offers text-to-speech capabilities through Motorola's MotoSpeak system, keeping you from checking your phone while driving or performing any other important task. In addition to text messages, the headset will speak turn-by-turn directions, and offer battery notifications.
The H17txt works with Android devices and BlackBerrys with OS 4.5 and up. In order to utilize the full text-to-speech capabilities, a device-side application must be installed. The headset can be purchased at Verizon Wireless retail stores or online, but no price point was mentioned in the press release.
Sounds like a neat piece of technology to me, though I'm surprised that the usual Motorola acronyms aren't present (i.e. MOTOSPEEK, or something like that). Anyone planning to pick one up?
