Verizon apologizes for late Incredible deliveries, offers $25 gift card

The HTC DROID Incredible has pretty much been out of stock since the day it became available, and getting one now requires a waiting period which varies by the day. Yesterday when I went to the Verizon site, the little Incredible picture with the ship date attached showed that it would be shipped by the 27th of July, today the magic date is the 28th. If you ordered your Incredible on or before June 28th, however, it looks like the device may ship up to 7 days later than what you were initially told. But don't worry, Verizon's got you covered. According to an AndroidCentral tipster, to make it up to you Verizon will be giving $25 gift cards to those who will be receiving their DROID Incredible later than they were told.
The tipster provided a letter (below), purportedly from Verizon, apologizing for the inconvenience and explaining how they plan to make it up to you. At this point you've probably already been waiting for a while for your Incredible, so what's a few more days? Plus you just made $25 which should at least buy you a nice case to keep your phone out of harms way. If you ordered your phone on or before the 28th of June and have received this letter, be sure to let us know. And don't forget to tell us whether or not you think $25 makes up for time spent without your Incredible.
