With their Galaxy S line of phones and the Galaxy Tab, it's obvious that Samsung has been throwing quite a bit of their support behind Google's Android platform.  Expect things to stay like that for the foreseeable future, as YH Lee, head of marketing for Samsung's mobile sector, has said that "we are prioritizing our Android platform."  Lee explained that Android is both open and flexible and that there is considerable demand from consumers for Android-powered handsets.  As for other platforms, Lee said that the company would continue on with Bada outside of North America, but when it came time to discuss Windows Phone 7, she seemed less enthused, only saying that "there is still some professional, specialized demand there."

It's pretty obvious that Android has been exploding in popularity recently, and it's no surprise that Samsung wants a piece of the pie.  After all, the platform has done quite a bit for Motorola.  We've seen a couple of Samsung handsets running Windows Phone 7, so it's obvious that they have at least a little interest in the OS.  Until it really takes off, though, it looks like Samsung is happy being BFF with Google and Android.
