iPhone 4, EVO 4G, BlackBerry Torch 9800, and DROID Incredible. What do they have in common? Price. $199.99 has been the unofficial high-end smartphone price point for some time now, so when the Samsung Epic 4G launched at $249.99 (after a $100 mail-in rebate, mind you), I was surprised. On one hand, Sprint's price plans are among the cheapest in the industry, so there's value long-term. On the other hand, I'm wondering whether the slightly higher price point will discourage users from purchasing over the EVO 4G or other alternatives on the market.
As always, I pass along to you. Were you considering the Samsung Epic 4G, only to be discouraged by the price point? Cast your vote in the poll, and hit the comments section with your thoughts!
