T-Mobile G2 to sell for $149.99 at Radio Shack

Remember when Best Buy announced that they would be selling T-Mobile's new G2 for $199.99? Radio Shack has decided to one-up Best Buy, announcing that they will be offering the G2 for $149.99 with a two-year contract. The lower price comes thanks to an instant discount and, while the price is awesome, The Shack didn't go any further into release information.
Considering that retailers always offer new handsets at discounted prices after release, this announcement from Radio Shack isn't terribly surprising. After all, Amazon almost always offers new smartphones for considerably less than you can get from the carrier, and I fully expect this to happen with the G2. Hopefully you didn't run to Best Buy right after the news that they would begin offering pre-orders of the G2 (and from the sound of it, not many of you could). The G2 price wars are about to begin.
