Tablets, tablets, everywhere!
Well, not just yet. While several devices are in the pipeline for distribution in late 2010/early 2011, the current battle lies between two devices: iPad and Galaxy Tab. On one hand, the Galaxy Tab is coming to the four nationwide carriers (yes, choice!) in time for the holiday shopping season. It offers a 1 GHz processor, Android 2.2 (Froyo), two cameras for pictures and video calling, microSD card slot, and Adobe Flash 10.1 for watching internet videos on the go.
On the other hand, the screen size (7-inches) is a bit small when compared to the iPad's 9-inch display, and the device lacks the beautiful metal finish that the iPad offers. Add in the simplicity (and popularity) of iOS and Apple's App Store, and it's an instant winner.
On yet another hand (borrow a friend's hand, unless you have three hands), who needs a tablet when you have a fully functional laptop and smartphone?
