Rumor: Prototype Verizon iPhone photos leak out

A couple of days ago, we heard a rumor that Apple's CDMA-compatible iPhone was in its final stage of testing before production. After that news broke, blog Richy Rich posted photos of what they claim is the N92, aka CDMA, iPhone in its DVT testing stage. The images are said to be from a Vietnamese shop. It's tough to tell if the photos are the real thing, especially with the red lighting and weird angles, so just remember to take this news with a few grains of everyone's favorite seasoning.
Judging from the photos (if they're legit), the CDMA iPhone looks pretty much identical to the current iPhone 4, which goes along with what we've heard about the device in the past. We first heard that this Verizon-ready phone was in DVT testing all the way back in August, so either one of the two claims is wrong or they're really testing this thing hard. Either way, I'm sure we'll hear much more about the mythical CDMA iPhone in the coming weeks, especially if it's indeed launching in either January or Q1 2011, so stay tuned!
