Dell Venue passes the FCC in 1700MHz, T-Mobile flavorAlex Wagner - Editorial Director of News and Content
Last week the Dell Venue, which is likely the Thunder that leaked back in August, was approved by the FCC with AT&T-compatible bands. Folks on T-Mobile shouldn't fret, though, because the very same device passed through the FCC again today, this time with 1700MHz AWS 3G on board. This T-Mobile Venue sports the model number V03B002, compared to the AT&T version's V03B number.
T-Mobile is already set to launch the Windows Phone 7-powered Venue Pro in the near future, so a full touch, keyboardless version of the same phone running Android would be a nice complement to the Pro. As has been pointed out, though, a model of the Dell Streak with T-Mo 3G also passed through the FCC back in April, and that device is still missing. I'm not saying that the T-Mobile Venue isn't coming, guys, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.
