T-Mobile iPhone dock connector cable

Rumors of a T-Mobile iPhone have been thrown around almost as much as the Verizon iPhone, but today those Magenta rumors got a shot in the arm.  As you can see in the image above, T-Mobile stores have started receiving 30-pin cables that are used to charge and sync Apple's iDevices.  The arrival of this $14.99 cable is by no means any sort of confirmation of an impending T-Mobile iPhone/iPad, but it certainly does make you think...

We've already seen the Verizon iPhone "confirmed" for early 2011 over and over again, so perhaps now that the iPhone will be freed from AT&T's clutches, Apple will spread their device to even more carriers?  It's tough to say, but the arrival of this cable certainly makes things interesting.  Deutsche Telekom's Rene Obermann did blame T-Mobile's high Q3 churn on the lack of iPhone on Magenta, so maybe he was hinting that that will be changing soon and that a Magenta iPhone is coming.  On the other hand, there are a number of unlocked iPhone users on T-Mobile, and the carrier has openly supported those subscribers in the past.  This could just be another way for them to offer support to those customers.  What do you think, readers?  Is a T-Mobile iPhone or iPad imminent, or is T-Mo just being kind to their iPhone users?
