Nokia and Perfecto Mobile team up to help developers test their apps

Perfecto Mobile

When you're a developer, testing your applications can be a pain when you have multiple devices with varying specs to try out.  Nokia and Perfecto Mobile are teaming up to makes things a little easier for devs, though, expanding Forum Nokia's Remote Device Access services to include Perfecto Mobile's Nokia Handset Cloud.  This means that a developer can test his or her app on a live device over a secure Internet connection.  There are over 200 Nokia devices available for testing, with new handsets being added quickly.  Besides installing apps on test devices, users can also transfer files, analyze log files, capture screenshots, and take advantage of Symbian Signed and Java Verified test flows to prepare an app for submission to Nokia's Ovi Store.  You can learn more right here and check out the full press release down below.

I'm not a developer myself, but this new service from Perfecto Mobile sounds pretty slick.  Often a developer is stuck testing an app on his or her own handset and that's all, leaving the app's compatibility with other devices up in the air.  Plus, it sounds like devs using the service may be able to speed up the submission process or at the very least help ensure that their app will make it into the Ovi Store.  Check out Perfecto Mobile's site and let me know what you all think.  If you were a dev, is the service something you'd use?
