HTC Knight, aka EVO Shift 4G, leaks once again, rumored to launch January 6th

Sprint customers looking for a new Android device have been aching for more information on the HTC Knight/EVO Shift 4G, and I'm happy to report that their day has finally come. The Knight was the subject of several photos sent to HTCPedia by a supplier and, as you can see, they're a heck of a lot more clear than the previous render that was being passed around. Rumored specs for the Knight, which is said to be coming to market as the EVO Shift 4G, include a 3.7-inch display, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 1GHz processor, 8 megapixel camera, Android 2.2, and WiMAX connectivity. Right now you're probably wondering to yourself, "Self, when can I get my hands on this wondrous device?" Well, I can't tell you for certain when it'll arrive, but January 6th is the currently rumored date. Check out a shot of the Knight's rear below.
One of the defining features of the EVO 4G was its monstrous 4.3-inch display, but it looks like they've decided to trade in the huge screen for a physical keyboard on the Knight. I have to admit that I'm not hating the switch, as a 3.7-inch display is still pretty generous, plus you're gaining a hardware QWERTY, which is a big win for many users. Oh, and the fact that HTC retained 4G on the smaller Knight is pretty awesome. There are a lot of people eagerly anticipating the HTC Merge's arrival on Verizon, but with the Knight coming soon, too, Sprint users don't have much to be jealous about.
