Nexus One Gingerbread tweet

When Gingerbread was finally revealed a couple of weeks ago, it was rumored that the Nexus One would be getting the update right after Google'sannouncement.  Those rumors turned out to be false, but you N1 owners that have managed to resist the allure of the Nexus S will soon be rewarded with a tasty treat.  The official Google Nexus account just confirmed that the Nexus One will be getting the over the air update to Android 2.3 "in the coming weeks."

One of the biggest selling points of the Nexus line is that the devices are guaranteed to get updates, and that those updates will come in a timely manner.  The Nexus One may not be the first device to get the latest upgrades anymore now that the Nexus S is out, but it'll almost certainly be the second, while some newer devices are stuck at Android 2.1 and below.  So, who wants to take bets one which handset will be next in line to get its own helping of Gingerbread after the Nexus One?
