After a promising start with the original Palm Pre, webOS is hanging on by a thread.  Thankfully, HP purchased them and infused the struggling brand with some much needed cash, but the lack of new products has frustrated even the loyal Palm users.  All of that is slated to change tomorrow at Palm's "Think Beyond" event in San Francisco.

The rumor mill is pointing to a couple of tablets, but I'm hoping that we'll see a few smartphones as well.  I'm also hoping Palm realizes that announcing a product and releasing it six months later will do absolutely nothing for their dwindling marketshare.  Let's hope they stick to their plan of improving the speed in which they release new products.

Whatever happens, I'll be live on location to cover it tomorrow, so bookmark this page and tune in at 1 PM EST/10 AM PST!

Also, it looks like the "Palm" brand is completely gone.  No "HP Palm" references.

Pedro Luis Perez
Pedro Luis Perez @steve I kinda felt the same way... So phonedog.com has a great blog and terrible contests... Oh well. I won't be making the effort again with them.
Ethan Rogers
Ethan Rogers more apps.....
Renee Hare
Renee Hare Ooooooo a white Pre would make me drool. WebOS is the best OS I ever used bar none. As far as the contest the drama over the perfectly okay handling of unclaimed prizes is more entertaining than an Ipad ever could be heh.
Tristin Bothwell
Tristin Bothwell I want an updated white palm pre :P ....but I'll keep on dreaming LOL
Steve Iams
Steve Iams Not about losing, I had pretty much the same slim chance as every one else, it's more about the shenanigans going on here that i am calling them out on. Heck, I'd have no problem at all voiding my entries if that what t takes for them to come straight on this matter. Imagine if everyone paid, say, 1 dollar for this contest. Would what they did be considered right or fair then? I would suspect many people would cry foul and be screaming bloody murder in that matter. Sure, no price was paid, but people did "do" something to enter, does the "foul" of the previous example now not matter in this new context? "Cancelling" the remaining un-awarded prizes (and yes they were un-awarded until someone claimed them due to the way they ran this contest) in order to find further promotions down the road is amateurish (and a bit shady) in my opinion.
Robert Manser
Robert Manser @Steve Iams why you so worried about it. Oh wait you lost. Sore Loser.
Nick Koval
Nick Koval Hp tablet... Super thin big sreen and no batteries needed running solar
James Thomas Bowman
James Thomas Bowman He's not deleting ur comments .... Facebook is messing up BAD log out and log back in . I've had to do that about four times today .
Billy Johnston
Billy Johnston i am a palm pre plus user ..... i think the palm would be a evern better phone if palm updated the app catologe......
Ahmed Jamal Ibraihimi
Ahmed Jamal Ibraihimi Ya in all probability it will be unveiling of new 'Web Os' and tablet and smartphone running it......they teased with promo of tab some days back by announcing sumthng big is coming.....
Jason Dearing
Jason Dearing I think its going to be a new WebOS Tablet. A new touchscreen smartphone hopefully to replace the Pre2, because the Pre2 hardware is severely outdated.
Steve Iams
Steve Iams Is that legal? Removing prizes from a contest to fund the next? And why are questions about the subject being deleted?
Pedro Luis Perez
Pedro Luis Perez @steve....the cash not spent on the ipads will be rolled over to a new contest.
Pedro Luis Perez
Pedro Luis Perez I loved web os but the pixie for sprint was horrible. It's taken too long for the new phones to come out. As much as I wanted...I moved on and returned to android.
Ima PhoneNerd
Ima PhoneNerd Web OS Tablets :)
Steve Iams
Steve Iams Any word on the re-draw for the pads that were not claimed?
