Rumor: Samsung Galaxy S2, HTC Desire 2, Desire HD2, and Wildfire 2 specs leak
@PhoneDog_Alex

Samsung will be unveiling its Galaxy S follow-up at MWC next week, but a newly leaked batch of documents claims to have all of the device's specs, along with some unannounced HTC handsets, too. The folks over at Pocketnow claim to have gotten all of the dirt on the Galaxy S2, HTC Desire 2, Desire HD2, and Wildfire 2. There's quite a bit of information to digest, so check it out in easy-to-read bullet form below:
- Samsung Galaxy S2: 4.3-inch 800x480 Super AMOLED Plus display, dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm 8260 CPU, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video capture, 2 megapixel front-facing cam, 512MB RAM, 16GB storage, microSD card slot, and HSPA+.
- HTC Desire 2 (likely the Saga): 3.7-inch 800x480 Super LCD, 1GHz Qualcomm 8250 processor, 5 megapixel camera with 720p video capture, 2 megapixel FFC, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, microSD support.
- HTC Desire HD2: 4.3-inch 960x540 SLCD, 1.2GHz, dual-core Qualcomm 8260 core, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording, 512MB RAM, 8GB storage, microSD support.
- HTC Wildfire 2: 3.2-inch 480x320 display, 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 CPU, 5 megapixel camera with DVD-quality video capture, 384MB RAM, microSD support.
None of these leaked specs are terribly surprising, although it seems strange that Samsung would throw a Qualcomm processor into its flagship device rather than use its own Orion CPU. Perhaps their own chips just aren't ready for primetime just yet. As for the HTC devices, it seems kind of strange that there wouldn't be a dual-core processor stuffed inside the Desire 2, but I'm sure that a 1GHz core will be plenty speedy for most users. So, what do you all think? Are these devices appropriate follow-ups?
