HTC DROID Incredible 2

The HTC DROID Incredible 2 has been the star of a quite of a few leaks and rumors over the past couple of months, but all of that can finally come to an end today. Verizon this morning made the successor to the DROID Incredible official, announcing that the DInc 2 will be made available on April 28th for $199.99 with a two-year contract. Specs are mostly the same as the ones we've been hearing for some time now, but for anyone that wants an official refresher:

  • 4-inch 800x480 display
  • 1GHz Snapdragon core
  • 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and 720p video capture
  • 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera
  • 3G Mobile Hotspot with support for up to five devices
  • Global-ready
  • Android 2.2 beneath HTC's Sense UI

We've been pretty confident that the DROID Incredible 2 would be arriving on the 28th for a while now, but it certainly never hurts to get official confirmation, either. Now that the DInc 2 and its bumped up list of specs are nearly here, though, you have to wonder if it'll achieve the same level of success as its predecessor, especially in the face of LTE-enabled devices like the HTC ThunderBolt. The Incredible 2 may not feature 4G, but I think it'll still see a healthy amount of sales, thanks at least in part to the fact that it is the sequel to the Incredible. What do you all think? Do you plan on picking up the DROID Incredible 2?
