WWDC 2011

This year's WWDC is a bit different than those of the past.  We've seen a preview of what's to come; iCloud and iOS 5 will be announced, but that's just the tip of the iceberg.  Speculation is rampant on new features in the mobile OS - notifications, widgets, and automatic app updates, just to name a few - and of course, there's always the potential for "one more thing."

I'm not live on location this time around, but that's not stopping us from having fun!  I'll be chronicling the news right here and having a conversation with you through your comments below and via Facebook and Twitter.

So snag your favorite drink, bookmark this page, follow me on Twitter (@PhoneDog_Aaron or @PhoneDog), and join me starting at 1:00 PM EDT/10:00 PDT as we follow all of the hot Apple news from San Francisco!

Peter Lee funny how its the exact replica of my jailbroken iphone
Peter Lee lion loocks pretty decent for 30 bucks which i can afford a mac
Erik Rosli Apple, Y U No launch iPhone 5?
Tameem Musab Tameem Musab a different USER INTERFACE would be nice because just dry pages of apps does'nt seem to last enjoyment while android has different launchers such as launcher pro and zeam launcher. IOS needs 2 get creative!!!!
Dae Hwan Kim the features kinda sound like things androids have had for a while now.... and to all the apple fans who are telling android fans to chill out remember that it was apple fans who were all up androids fans' faces for lack of better applications. so maybe this time apple fans should jus sit down and take this beating..... and for android fans, notifications arent an android thing, webos has had a great notification system for years. speaking of apple, apples trying to patent everything so that they can get more lawsuits in the future, i hope google and others decide to patent things as well so when apple decides to play catchup, they'll be left with dust and dirt in their face. seriously ive had nothing against apple until they decided to slap ridiculous lawsuits on other companies for "copying" their "original" ideas.
Marti Ruiz Will improve Isuck Ibetter antenna Ibetter camera .idontt know ,who care
Mario Sauceda Where's the pre order webpage for my next phone the HTC Sensation....
Dre Desvignes lol, i just love how ppl are realising how limited apple has been with their os, i can bet my life!! apple will have more and more of what everybody else has, simply becuz just like blackberry a brand which nobody ever wanted in the earlies, they have to adopt things that ppl need to make their lives easier, but unfortunately apple cant fool ppl any more with just saying that they are the best. love the platform but hate the os...................ANDROID RULES!!!!!!!
Ryan DeClue An Android emulator... :-)
Andrew Tyler Madison Apple eats your soul for ram
Victor ElJefe Dominguez They should just stop making them in general android came and conquered. No need for a apple handset
Jose Pablo Islas A hack that makes it an android! Lol
Andrew Johnson Oh, i know i know! The same ones they have had for how meany years now? Lol, can u say out of date?
Paul Giuoco I'm sure it will change everyth... Sorry I couldn't finish that Apple blows.
Jim Lucas You mean like Sony and the Wii ?
Jody Warrick Jim.. Apple has always been really secure.. Closed platforms usually are.
Jim Lucas *iphone* damn autocorrect.
Jim Lucas Security. Synchronizing improvement. Faster processor. Im an Android user but the phone is pretty cool. My main issue with Android is stability. Tbh I cringe when updates are pushed.
Rezwan Noor Let's see a whole list of things like a bigger screen (4' or higher), duo core, better camera, HDMI connection, wireless hotspot, n overall a flexible OS like Android. I know the last thing on the list will never happen. LOL
Ioan-Radu Tanasescu Everybody is wondering what ios is gonna steal from android, I myself wonder what it will take from webOS, multitasking still blows for both android and ios, when it comes to sincronising accounts (of all types) nothing yet matches synergy.
Zach Ortstadt Widgets like android
Darryl Mouzone Here comes Android fanboys bashing Apple again. Its getting old. "iPhone is garbage!" That's the best insult you can come up with? That pretty much shows your intelligence and maturity level right there. Get a life. And if you have one, go on with it already.
Edgar Villalobos it will have the same main feature as every Apple product... the ability to heard the sheep. lol
Jarrett Hahn android fanboys are gonna have a field day with this, i use a android phone. but i hope apple gets a notification bar type deal if not like android has, then something like blackberry has. having the option to not have a text pop up while in the middle of a app or video would be nice too. just small stuff, maybe flash.
Ali Moazzam I bet This is gonna be a great day for Apple fans
Ali Moazzam Widhets
Jose William Riveros Don't care. Iphone is garbage compared to android.
Andi Gordon I think the best feature will be the "Envy button". You tap it when one of your friends whips out an android handset, and they spontaneously combust with jealousy.
Nguyen Dang Widgets, or something of the like in a new GUI.
Anh-Tuan Le Capacitive button? Widgets? You know, brand new technology stuff.
Emul Myguy Perez I want da new iPhone , iPhone rocks an is da mother of all touch screen phones.
Prabhath Jay things that make ppl wanna buy android ?
Eric Shayna It won't have support for a 3rd gen touch. :(
Augustas Juršenas it should have support for android apps. U kno , if there isnt something on apple u could find it on android , that would be cool. But what i would want is a freaking new and ORIGINAL Design !
David Roberto Carrio When is the htc evo 3d coming to the uk?
Victor Rios I hear the Apple wants to add widgets and maybe could possibly add flash player to the OS but to me it seems like they want to be like Android which is better than iOS in my opinion. I wouldn't mind having an iPhone but Android is where it's at!
Jerm Torres Whatever it is, I hope it comes out for T-Mobile!!!
Christopher Johnson not flash and a bit less (apple-like) restrictions
Sean Liew Apple will be the copycat this year !
Eli San Juan-Collado All I want to know is att coming out with a new iphone 5 this year. I'm ready to upgrade but won't if u can please answer my question. Thanks..
William Ellis it would be cool if you could connect your iphone to a pc and use it as an external hard drive, like an android phone hahahaha
Steve Hartsock Good, Android is still too damn convoluted.
Neal Daringer just want to get my preorder of lion in.
Kenneth Torres Nothing compared to what Android has.
