Virgin Mobile set to revamp its plan pricing on July 19th?
@PhoneDog_Alex

We've heard that Virgin Mobile may be launching the Motorola Triumph on July 19th, but today the rumor mill is claiming that that won't be the only the only thing that VM introduces once the 19th rolls around. According to a tip sent in to Phandroid, Virgin Mobile will be revamping the pricing of its Beyond Talk plans on July 19th. The new plan pricing will allegedly break down like this:
- 300 minutes with unlimited web and texting for $35/month (currently $25/month)
- 1200 minutes with unlimited web and texting for $45/month (currently $40/month)
- Unlimited minutes, web, and texting for $55/month (currently $60/month)
The tipster claims that Virgin Mobile customers will be able to use the current, cheaper refill cards for a month after the changes take effect. After that point, users will begin being charged these new prices. It's also said that Virgin Mobile will soon be dropping the $10 fee that it currently charges customers using a BlackBerry device on its network. Virgin's Beyond Talk plans have been one of the better deals in the industry ever since they were introduced, so it's kind of a bummer that the lower-end plans are getting a price bump. Still, $35 for unlimited text/web and 300 minutes every month isn't a bad way to go, especially when you consider that that plan can be used with the vanilla Android-packin' Triumph.
