Earlier this week a report surfaced showing that T-Mobile is planning to hold an all hands day on September 24th, suggesting that something big may soon be going down in Magenta Land. There was some speculation that this meeting could be iPhone or AT&T acquisition-related, but our pals at TmoNews have heard neither of those possibilities will pan out. Instead, TmoNews's intel shows that this all hands day is related to an upcoming smartphone sale with many T-Mobile smartphones priced at around $100 after rebate. It's also rumored that a 42Mbps HSPA+-enabled mobile hotspot may be introduced alongside this sale.
Although a smartphone sale may not be as thrilling as a hot, new handset or something related to AT&T's proposed acquisition of T-Mobile, this is still good news for folks on T-Mobile that are in need of a new device. Of course, with the likes of the Galaxy S II and Ruby/Amaze 4G on the horizon, picking up a phone from T-Mobile later this month may not be the way to go if you're interested in having the latest and greatest hardware. We're sure to learn more about this sale in the coming weeks, so keep it locked to PhoneDog for more.
