Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition to feature an 8.2-inch IPS display?

It's time for yet another Motorola leak, friends! This time we're going back to the land of the tablet with details on a device referred to as the Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition. This new slate is said to be targeting the ereader market with its 8.2-inch HD IPS anti-glare screen and 0.95 pound body, two features that should make the device fairly portable. Don't think that that means it'll be flimsy or easily-damaged, though, as Moto is reportedly building the XOOM 2 Media Edition's body out of a combo of magnesium and aluminum and is also packing in a Gorilla Glass display. If all that isn't enough to pique your interest, the source of this leak is also claiming that we can expect an IR blaster and subwoofer to make their way onto the XOOM 2 Media Edition's chassis.
Obviously one of the first things that comes to mind when you hear all of these details is, "Hey. What about that small-ish Motorola tablet that leaked earlier in the week?" When that slate first appeared it looked like it was packing a display of the 7-inch persuasion, but with this latest report, it seems likely that the device in question is actually this 8.2-inch XOOM 2 Media Edition. You shouldn't fret if you're pining for a smaller Moto-made tablet, though, as This is my next claims that Verizon is in the process of preparing signage for a "XOOM Mini"-esque tablet that could arrive soon. So folks, does a tablet with an 8.2-inch display strike your fancy?
