Motorola to show its "next big innovation" with Verizon at October 18th event [UPDATED]

The fall CTIA show may be going down in sunny San Diego this week, but it looks like Motorola and Verizon have something planned that they feel warrants an event of its own. The two companies just sent out invites for a press conference on Tuesday, October 18th that'll be kicking off at 12:00 PM. There's no mention of exactly what's in store for the shindig (is there ever?), but the invite does tease that we'll be celebrating the "next big innovation" from Motorola.
Since the October 18th event is being hosted by both Motorola and Verizon, we can narrow down the number of devices that may make their debut just a bit. The first products that spring to mind include the DROID HD/DROID RAZR, XOOM 2, and XOOM 2 Media Edition, all of which were a part of a parade of Motorola leaks that hit late last month. As usual, you can bet that we'll be covering all of the news from the Moto and Verizon event as it happens, so you'll want to tune in on the 18th to see just what the two firms decide pull out of their shared hat. Until then, go ahead and tell us what you want Moto and Verizon to show off in the comments below!
UPDATE: A teaser clip for the event is embedded below. The video offers brief glimpses of a razor and a bulletproof vest (made of Kevlar), which may support the rumor that the DROID RAZR — which is rumored to feature a Kevlar casing — could make an appearance at the show.
