Samsung Galaxy Nexus Verizon sign-up page

Verizon confirmed at the tail end of last week that it would be offering the Samsung Galaxy Nexus later this year, setting the hearts of Android fans everywhere aflutter. What Big Red didn't do at time was go into further detail about the Galaxy Nexus's availability and, sadly, it's remained mum on the device ever since. Tonight Verizon saw fit to tease us a bit by posting a sign-up page for the Galaxy Nexus on its website. There's no new information to be found, but doing a search for "Galaxy Nexus" on Verizon's site does yield the image you see below, listing the device as being available "Exclusively from Verizon."

There are likely more than a few folks frustrated by Verizon's silence concerning its Galaxy Nexus release info, but the good news is that we've got the rumor mill to satiate our appetite until Big Red gives up the goods. The potential launch date that's been kicked around the most so far? November 10th. If it holds true, we should be hearing more from Verizon soon.

UPDATE: Looks like Verizon's gone ahead and removed the "Exclusively from Verizon" line that we saw last night. Check out the new banner below.

Thanks for your participation! :)

Mike West prolly.
Chad Allen No way its just another android phone nothing special!
Sheeraz Sarwar No its not the best, for best you should do every thing perfectly not leaving a single corner outdated, in this case its there camera which leaves them behind
David Hilgendorf @ Zach No you won't lose unlimited data when upgrading to 4g device. I thought that would happen myself and switched to 4g a month ago and still got unlimited.... Love that Im grandfathered in as well.
Anonymous Not when its on Verizon...
Zach Cline The droid razr is slick but the form factor isn't much different than my droid x
Ricky Frisenholt Not interesting for my eyes. I'd rather go for Motorola Droid Razr. But that's just my opinion.
Brandon Johnson Why would this phone be considered the best phone of the year? It pretty much has specs inline with every other high end phone released this year with a bigger screen. Is it the screen or the fact that it has 4.0 on it? This phone is kind of disappointing to me, but there won't be an android that ships with 4.0 until at least February which is just depressing.
Issam El Kouartey No butt the iphone 4S will
Alex Yedinak Better get bigger pants with giant pockets!
Zach Cline No they aren't.
Kevin Knox I dont get it... I texted them all..by far there only 3phones to talk about Iphone4s...Evo3d... Galexy S2... All the others are pointless
Zach Cline They didn't hold back on the camera. Megapixels don't matter. It all comes down to the lens and sensor. You're not going to notice the difference unless your making posters etc... I've seen people saying wtf!! It should have came with a 12few megapixel rear facing camera and a. 5 megapixel front facing. Yeah and if it did, Those same people would be the first to whine about the price.
Cedric Dorcely @chistopher Gronde i think they held back on the camera to make the phone more affordable ... thats the reason the 5mp camera they have gives ful hd and matched it with a screen that has greater resolution then the iphone 4 and 4s revolutionary retina display ... doing that brings the cost down without sacrificing low cost of production
Zach Cline I have a question - Has anyone here on Verizon upgraded to a 4G device and lost unlimited data? I'm grandfathered into unlimited 3G but I don't know if that would carry over to something like the galaxy nexus when I upgrade in a few weeks.
Cedric Dorcely @yakir Havin , its funny you say specs ...thats why everyone ran to the iphone 4 ... and tell me whos processor is in the ipad , ipad 2, iphone 4 and iphone 4 s that makes them run fast ? answer is Samsung ... And for the reference specs mean everything ... apples dual core 4s only has 512 of ram ... whichsooner or later people will start having issues withthat ....
Jesse Willoughby Would have rather had an s2 on Verizon. Its top many new things and I don't get why they ignore the hard shortcut buttons on the side those are so much better
Tim Miyashiro Doubt it.
Evan Thomas As long as ics comes to my T-Mobile g2x then I'm happy
Paul Davis Yes, no, maybe
Nathan Parks IMO it will come down to battery life.
Zach Cline Galaxy nexus is better than the galaxy s2 lol.
Kyle Cordiano Galaxy s ii
Niels Swimberghe Galaxy s2 is the phone of the year, next year will be the s3 :-) It's nice, but not good enough to buy... But it isn't as disappointing as iPhone 4s who actually didn't bring anything new to the hardware :p
Christopher Olivas We'll see. Hopefully the battery will last a good days charge :D
Carlos Eduardo Rey Do pigs fly??? Of course it will ;-)
Steve Jones @Yakir, have you ever had a high end android phone? By reading your post I highly doubt it.
Steve Jones @Delon, how will it be the best phone? Nexus devices will always have the edge. They're flagship devices. It has ics which is actually optimized for dual core processors unlike gingerbread which is what the gs II has
Steve Jones @Zulfan its super amoled HD
Wilberto Ortiz if it is on ALL carriers voila...!
Lewis Hachmeister With ease.
Don Crispens To me Android platform is like Wikipedia as far as software goes. It's open source and anyone can code for it. Hence the bugs in the apps and software. Agreed that only 10% of users use ROMs to boost their phone because others just don't want to break the damn thing. Personally I don't believe it will be that great because of it being a pilot device for ICS.
Ricardo Lopez Yup considering its almost 2012.....
Fan OfDreaming Not sure. But for the first time I'm definitely considering the vanilla android experience
Charles Jones So is saying YO! Haha
Arman Bhuiyan THATS GAY YO
Charles Jones Yes, yep, Ya! Of course!! Duh!!!
Ian Walker No because as soon as this is released another phone with even better spec's will be announced ! But thats the problem with being an android fan you just cannot keep up with it all. Thats why i have gone back to the iphone 4s at least it will be apples top phone for a year.
Spencer Bartholomew SGS2 or if HTC drops something big. Nexus just has ICS which by rooting and using apps off the market you can recreate basically.
Nathaniel Hull Hope not
David Hilgendorf Oh yes it will. Just wait for what the devs cook up for this bad boi
Douglas J Kmiotek I think it just might be tha' bomb!!!
Paul Davis no, just because of a better screen and ICS, does not make it great.
Jeremy Oliver Who cares anymore? I give up this months flavor in next months has been. Way to many android phones out that 90% of them will never see an update. Look at the og atrix not even a year old and the atrix 2 is out. And the og atrix has better specs lol. Got an iPhone as my daily driver and my og atrix to play with I'm happy with those 2.
Ya Tu Sabe Ill put my money in Nexus brand neva disappointed me like i-phone b doing 2 there customers Smh
Chase Michael Vandiver not if its only on verizon
Aaron Cullen Starr Best phone of 2011-2012 if promotion is done right. I bet verzion won't push as much as its droid lines because the phone don't look scary and scream "Droid!!!" At you. I picture vzw pushing it towards a classy/media audience
Thomas Boehnlein To clarify it crashed because Friendcaster Pro just put out a huge change in their codebase. So it still has some bugs.
Thomas Boehnlein @Harris Ahmed Siddiqui My app crashed as I was liking your comment. That's just too funny.
Christopher Gronde Ice Cream sandwich will be the best OS upgrade of the year, but I feel samsung held back on this hardware...it could have been way better...the CMOS sensor camera is great but unless you're a photographer you don't know what that means they see GN has 5mp and iPhone has 8mp. So many other phones have 8mp cameras why hold back?
Haris Ahmed Siddiqui Android is not buggy , apps are , when u install an app u need to make sure Wat kind developer of made it ..
Wit BoonHan But it is android still.
Gabriel Fernandez Yeah. Easily. And this is coming from an iPhone 4S user. I also carry my Google Nexus S too. My only disappointment with this one is the fact that they chose to go with Super AMOLED and not Super AMOLED Plus. And they will be going with Pentile technology for some odd reason. They really need to stop future proofing phones like this. The 5MP rear camera was a let down until the display. But overall it's still a great phone. Especially since Ice Cream Sandwich was coupled with the hardware the way Apple does with iOS and iPhones.
Abram Wenevermet Dennis No..androids are buggy.
Joe Dominguez It not that good of a phone sense its the first with icecream it is gonna fail a new phone is gonna come out that runs with it better
Jason King So yes it will be the best phone this year seeing its coming out in November. Now if something else comes out after the nexus, it will lose the crown and that's a shame.
Jason King Why are android users so mad ? Specs are not everything. Also only 10% of android users install roms anyway, what about everyone else, they're just stuck huh? How about when you buy an android phone other than a Nexus you don't get any update support , is that right ? No. Androids are cool but too buggy. They need to focus on the user experience instead of specs.
Eduardo Giraldo Well att limited internet sucks
Zulfan Efendi It has super amoled but no plus. :P
Mo Man I think it depends on how the Droid Razr will look if it gets launched with ICS as well. I think it's mostly the software that makes this phone amazing plus a full HD display... other specs don't really matter to average costumer. Your little sister or your mom is not gonna go around showing off their 1.4 GHz dual core processor... hell I don't even know what GHz stands for. Who cares about that, as long as the phone runs smoothly. And since ICS is optimized for dual cores, I think both this and the Razr are gonna be the newest hottest android phones. I am personally torn between which to get! any advice? :/
Hendrick Equis M Would do better if it wasn't verizon exclusive
Jennifer Evans I don't have Verizon and don't want them..lol.
Aaron Dean It pribally will be the best until something better comes two weeks after its launched.that seems to be the trend
Paul Alexandru never...
Michael Compton I'm an Apple fanboy loser... Better go troll those android kids. Why don't you fix the bootloader so user users can choose their own os Plus v more.
Daniel Hayday Though I agree entirely with Jay, I'm going to get my hands on this as soon as possible. After being stuck with my iPhone 3GS since its release, I think it's safe to say I deserve an upgrade. :)
Eric D Does it come with a back pack battery? Sounds like a power hog!
Michael Compton Hey Apple fan boy go peep your 800 MHz a5 dual core against my 1.5 GHz overclocked @ 2.1 stable custom kernel. Fuck iFail. Oh we had 16 months to make a new product instead we barely upgraded the existing model.. and Siri...? Lol lazy assess. Androids been on voice command. Lol
Jay Lazz by the time this comes out, the next great phone will be announced. Its really a lose lose situation. No point of really " waiting " to buy a phone when there will always be a better one coming out right away. Cell phone companies need to give upgrades yearly.
King Josef Is it worth the money
Jason Bourdeau I'm definitely getting it when it comes out
Ernest Marvin Esteban Of course it is. perfect combination of great software and powerful hardware. The software is fully optimized now and the screen and features are just amazing
Michael Cohen And it doesn't have Gorilla Glass
Yakir Havin A lot of people fall for specs. They think a massive screen is always amazing and that's since it's a dual core 1.2Ghz processor that it's WAY better than the iPhone 4S although really Apple always seems to get their phones to perform quicker than any.
Jared Elick I am so getting this phone. I will take out a credit card to buy it if I have to. I need that nerd cred.
Delon Kueh Chun Kuan i still think galaxy SII will be the best phone~ unless HTC launches a better spec phone than that~
Nick Worwood If it doesn't have a removable SD, I probably won't be interested.
