Apple iPhone 4S

Last month we learned that C Spire Wireless would become the fourth carrier to offer the iPhone 4S here in the U.S., and now the folks at C Spire have spilled the beans on 4S availability. Apple's new smartphone will go on sale at C Spire on Friday, November 11th with with the same on-contract pricing that we've seen on the other operators so far: $199/16GB, $299/32GB, $399/64GB. C Spire will also offer an 8GB iPhone 4 for $99.99 with a two-year commitment. Pre-registration for all devices starts today and can be found here. As far as plans go, iPhone-toting customers will have four different options to choose from:

  • $50 per month for 500 minutes, unlimited text, and unlimited data with no streaming
  • $70 per month for unlimited minutes, texting, and non-streaming data
  • $90 per month for 1,000 minutes, unlimited text, unlimited data (streaming included)
  • $100 per month for unlimited talk, text, and data (streaming included)

Although C Spire's iPhone 4S launch is coming almost a month after AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon's releases, the carrier formerly known as Cellular South could be the way to go for folks that don't yet have an iPhone and live in its coverage area, which includes quite a few major areas in the southern U.S. such as Memphis, the Florida Panhandle, Mississippi, and parts of Alabama. Not only does C Spire's plans included unlimited data — something that AT&T and Verizon no longer offer — but the monthly charge gets even cheaper for customers that don't do any kind of music or video streaming. The full PR from C Spire is below.

Johnathan Skinner Yes, I want one
Jabin George Sure after all the bugs are fixed with the phone. Have enough trouble with it.
Terry Oakes all carriers should get the iphone if they want it
Nick Kathrein It can't hurt unless apple want too much for the privilege. I'd rather them get the Nexus Prime.
Joshua Nolasolesurviva Thomas No Cus they service suck big time. & they Internet is slow. It wood make the iPhone look like crap I'm just saying!! :-/
Peter Dudycz When the hell is the unlocked 4s coming out in the USA?
Howie Eastin Yes...definitely
Norman Chan yes..i think all should get the iphone 4s or iphone 4..
JesusNveronica Flores No cuz tmo sucks
Lucy Akopyan T-mobile is not nearly cool enough...
Bill Casttle Yes but with 4g. To many problems with android force closing all the time..
Nick Truskowski Apple should be burned, buried and forgotten
Luis Lopez Yes. I went to a Sprint store today and my HTC Sensation 4G smoked their variant of the Samsung Galaxy II in terms of network speed. I don't know how Sprint's network is anywhere else, but its awfully slow here in Chicago. It doesn't really matter how impressive a phone is if the cellular network that its supposed to be running on is um, well unimpressive.
Zack Kjelland No questions! I'm sick of my jailbroken 3G
Zach Cline Lol, No t-mobile sucks.
Josue Cifuentes galaxy nexus > iPhone 4s
Ed Parker "Very" pleased...
Ed Parker I've had T-mobile for years. Betty pleased with their service.
Israel Leiva No point in it if they are soon gonna be AT&T-Mobile.
Eric Gitzlaff No. There service is awful :/
Thomas Evans I agree with @Daniel C spire in the south was a company called CelluarSouth that had great service in the south but when you go up north they either charged more for roaming or your signal was crappy. I know a lot of people who say they have great coverage every where but I doubt it especially if has broaden their service but I guess they have now since it's call C spire now
Chris Corliss Why not have it available? It doesn't affect my GSII is any way, and it would get more money to T-Mobile
Nathan Sheaffer Tmobile won't get it till the merger buisness is done. If the merger fails then they will get it.
Thomas Evans Yeah why not its obviously a open call so to speak now. It seems like companies are gonna slowly get it anyway so now. It's just up to the individual to decide what company he/she likes the best, has the better PLAN!
Daniel Modell I can't believe T-Mo still doesn't have it. And this podunk company gets it?
Brian A Fields Hell Yes!!!
Kevin L. Lopez Nooooo. T-mobile bought by at&t.
French Twist T-Mo does NOT suck. AT&T does. So there!
Zach Cline T-Mobile sucks. So no they shouldn't get it.
James Ramirez Yes they should.
Henry Murillo Yes! I would buy
Tim Fuhrmann Should they? Yeah, it would be a good "plan B" move if the merger gets blocked. The better question is will they get the iPhone, to which I say, doubtful.
Enrique Vazquez YES!!! t-mobile needs to get it!
Mark Fisher Jr. Yes it should. Everybody else has it. Why not tmobile.
Lewis Hachmeister Nope. We want the Nexus and the Note. iPhone is too small.
Christian Sotelo Yea but apple ignored T-Mobile Request and The iPhone this not support AWS 3G
Richard Kalva Please keep that ugly pile of crap out of the T-Mobile stores
Gia Clarke Y not:/
Kimberly Johnson I thought they were being bought out?!?!?!
Morgan Hill I would switch to t mobile.
Hector Portalatin i use to hav sprint trust me when i tell u if you have it ur getting raped :\
Hated Newsome Fuck no! Tmobile is amazing and they dont need some piece of shit iphone.
Chris Mejia I have not ever heard about c spire wireless or whatever
Ed Brown Meh. They have advanced, customizable Androids with widgets, large screens, multiple home screens. What do they need an Apple AppTray with small screen, no flash, no memory card for? Why go backward?
Hector Portalatin Samsung???? -_______-
Guillermo De León IPhone crap!
Alex Ochoa Sure... I think all the carriers should sell the iPhone..that's the only way they can keep up with android...cuz everybody has some sort of android phone :-)
Drew Applesauce For what? Wait, they still make iPhones???
Micah Watkins Yes T-Mobile should have the iPhone.
Jay Alejos IPhone sucks anyways screens r way to small for what people want these days. That's why I haven't looked back. Go Samsung GS2
Stephanie Rose Senrud No. 1st off, they're merging with att and tmobile sucks anyway.
Mauricio Figueroa 4s is going to be around for a while, the iphone 5 will be the same as the 4s but few add ons. the Iphone 5 is tba still. would be a waste of money caues t-mobile and att are mergin ?
Brandon Mims I'm not an apple fan but yeah everyone should have an option to purchase it if they want it.
Hector Portalatin tmo pretty good for my coverage is excellent, i feel sorry for you if you hav at&t or sprint cause prices mad high + bad service ur getting fuck in thee ass :\
Katherine Reese Heck yes!!!
Renee Michele Potzler Yes get the iPhone and why spend the extra money to switch carriers to get a phone that other carriers have?
Ricardo Lopez no they should get the galaxy nexus!!!
French Twist Hell yes!!!
Mustin Jiller it doesnt matter if they suck. yes they should get the iphone
Danny Barnes Stop being idiots and just switch carriers really not that difficult of a decision if you want the iPhone so badly
Tahnee Davis If they don't, I'll def be leaving once my contract is over, which I hate to do b/c I LOVE their customer service...
Hector Portalatin proly get no coverage in ur area that must suck tmo rocks!
Henry Lucio T-Mobile sucks !
Michael Foresto Don't fall prey T-Mobile! You'll only piss your customers off because the iPhone 5 should be out late spring/early summer and your customers will hate you because they're locked into a contract with a crappy phone. Watch the backlash created once the iPhone 5 is released because the hardware should be as amazing as the Samsung Galaxy S II, if not even more amazing!
Denise Weathers Hooks I had t-Mobil and switched so I could have the iPhone. No regrets. Glad I left because Verizon has better service.
Drew Geisen No T-Mobile sucks!
Lennes Shaw If they get it I will quickly jump on, because I've always wanted one but I dont like att or verizon , and sprint with the whole cant talk and surf the web thing. Im suprise sprint network is handling the iphone so well.
Francois Filamor I hope not. I just left tmobile and jumped to sprint for the unlimited data plans..
Ben Bartholomew Tmo has worse service then at&t, and they get the better phones. NO
Duvon Jackson C Spire? Fuck is that?
Hector Portalatin Prices depends on ur plan, and yes they should get the iPhone it will def increases sales! I know i would get one
Nick Gifford I'm pretty happy with the sheep hogging every other carrier's bandwidth, so no. Simple answer.
Jason King Of course if they are concerned about customers leaving T-Mobile to get the iPhone, but if they aren't no. It appears that T-Mobile is the official carrier of Android so there might be a conflict ... But there are a ton of T-mobile customers who have the unlocked iPhone and the jail-broken iPhone, its just tmo is not getting any of that revenu and thats a Fail for T-Mobile.
Hosea Carter yes but dont tmo or d telkom want out the us?
Lisette N Pete Carpenter besides they are merging with att anyways
Lisette N Pete Carpenter no i just switched from tmobile their prices are crazy high i love att and the iphone
Nadim Uddin Just like Sprint, T-Mobile needs to "pay to play" for the iPhone.
Firas Dabbas csire is cdma like verizon, att is only US gsm network with iphone, cincinnati bell is also gsm and same frequency as t-mobile, and that is why cincinnati bell won't get the iphone until att merger details are figured out. if cincinnati bell gets the iphone, that means t-mobile also has to get it because same frequency and gsm, that's att and apple for you.
Kevin Youssef No T-Mobile is garbage
Coulton Vento Of course!
Brandon Johnson C spire is privately owned from what I hear, and people already use the iPhone on t mobile so they might as well make it 3G compatible.
Chris Murchison wots the point lol
Shawn Poling No Internet to slow
Tim Woodie yes and i dont ever plan on going to tmobile but so many people use the iphone on their network
Pierce G Hohenstein T-Mobile is a decent company, however, they lack coverage nationwide. Same with C-Spire, I don't believe it is in Apple's best interests to provide the iPhone 4(S) to every carrier, I just don't think the demographics would size up or provide enough business to pay back the massive sums of money it costs to bring such a controversial phone as the iPhone to T-Mobile or any other regional carrier. If C-Spire is getting the iPhone lineup why can't US Cellular and Virgin Mobile for that matter? It is easy for these companies to buy their way into an iPhone deal but the question is, can they really afford it? Or is their ass writing a check their bank accounts can't handle?
Jonathan Steele we have to wait and see about Federal regulator (DoJ and FCC) first about AT&T Deal first.
