Mobile phone events in New York (and subsequent liveblogs) are a dime a dozen this time of year as manufacturers ramp up for the busy holiday season. Just a few weeks after Samsung's Galaxy Nexus reveal and Motorola's DROID RAZR announcement, HTC has kindly invited us to a press event in New York City today to show off their latest mobile creation.
All signs point to the HTC Rezound, a high-end Verizon Android smartphone that's packing 4G LTE, a 720p HD display, and Beats audio; but if you've followed these events in the past (as I'm sure you have, loyal reader!), you know that surprises can happen. Could we see an HTC-official preview of Ice Cream Sandwich? HTC Sense 4.0, perhaps? A smartphone that does all of your holiday shopping for you?
Join me starting at 3:00 PM Eastern/12:00 PM Pacific for an afternoon of wit, bad jokes, and live updates (likely in that order) as we find out what HTC has up their sleeves!

How many Android phones does Verizon have???
Zach Cline
It's going to come down to personal preference anyway. I always liked htc sense so the rezound is what i'm leaning towards at this point.

@Zach just because the clock speed is higher doesn't mean faster. The inappropriate in the nexus is a much better processor than anything qualcomm has to off
Zach Cline
@Cory - No they aren't.
Zach Cline
@ Cody - Yeah it has a 1280x720p display.
Zach Cline
This thing has better specs than the nexus. 1.5 ghz processor as opposed to 1.2, 2mp front facing camera as opposed to the 1.3 found on the nexus. It's going to be a beast.
Nathan Bryant
So what's new about this again?
Ben Kimmel
i'm torn between the razr and the rezound
Jason King
Anyone into technology or websites like these should be all excited out … It’s like one week you get excited about one device, 2 weeks later there’s another one and so on and so on … There are too many phones coming out and right now it appears that the Nexus is the Gem to behold right now. But this phone looks good, a good upgrade from the Thunderbolt.
