Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc

Which manufacturer is the latest to talk Ice Cream Sandwich updates? Why, it's Sony Ericsson! Today the company announced on its official product blog that it plans to update its entire 2011 Xperia lineup to Android 4.0. That includes the Xperia arc and arc S, Xperia PLAY, Xperia neo and neo V, Xperia mini and mini pro, Xperia pro, Xperia active, Xperia ray, and the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman. Sony Ericsson didn't mention when the updates might begin rolling out.

Good on Sony Ericsson for not only confirming its Ice Cream Sandwich update plans, but also for committing to bringing Android's latest and greatest to the entirety of its 2011 Xperia portfolio. We've yet to hear word from any U.S. providers on when (or if) the carrier-specific Xperia devices — like Verizon and AT&T's versions of the Xperia PLAY — might be bumped up to ICS, but as usual, you can be sure we'll let you know more when we do. Stay tuned!
