Samsung Galaxy S 4G T-Mobile

T-Mobile's got a nice gift for all of you Samsung Galaxy S 4G owners out there today in the form of a software update. This isn't just any plain ol' update, though! The update, which is version number T959VUVKJ6, will bump you Galaxy S 4G owners up to Android 2.3, also known by the much tastier sounding name of Gingerbread. Besides the usual goodies found in Android 2.3, Galaxy S 4G owners will also find that the new software includes:

  • Google security patch
  • Camera enhancements
  • Wi-Fi enhancements

Sound good? If you're a Galaxy S 4G owner eager to get your Gingerbread on, you'll need to hunker down in front of your computer and upgrade using Samsung's Kies Mini software, as the update won't be pushed out over the air. You can find complete update instructions right here. As usual, we'd love it if you could come back once the dust has settled and the update is complete to let us know how Android 2.3 is treating you. We'll be here waiting.
