The iOS 5.1 beta train keeps on a-rolling today, as Apple has released iOS 5.1 beta 2 to registered developers. Listed as build number 9B5127c, this latest version of iOS 5.1 contains a new feature that allows users to manually delete individual photos from the Photo Stream on their devices. Right now, the only way to delete an image from Photo Stream is to wipe the entire thing. Beta 2 of iOS 5.1 is available to owners of the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad, iPad 2 and third and fourth-generation iPod touch.
Although the biggest issue with iOS 5 remains to be the battery woes that have been plaguing users since the new software's arrival (and hopefully will be addressed in the final version of iOS 5.1), the addition of the ability to manually delete images from a Photo Stream is a welcome one. It seems kind of strange that this feature wasn't something that was included from the get-go, but hey, at least it's finally been included in this latest beta. There's still no word on when the update will be pushed to us regular folk, but registered devs should go and grab it from Apple's official developer site right now.
