T-Mobile myTouch 4G

Boy, December is shaping up to be the month of T-Mobile software updates. Over the past few weeks we've seen the Sensation 4G, Amaze 4G, and Galaxy S II receive updates, and now its time for the myTouch 4G and myTouch 4G Slide to join in on the fun. First up is the myTouch 4G, which is getting an update to Android 2.3.4/software version 2.32.531.1. T-Mobile says that this bug-fixing update began rolling out today, but several TmoNews readers report that it's already been hitting some handsets over the past week or so. If the new software hasn't made its way to you yet, head into Menu > Settings > About phone, HTC software updates > Check now to see if you can pull it down manually. Want the changelog? You've got it:

  • Google security update
  • New version of Swype
  • Additional Software Improvements

Moving on, the myTouch 4G Slide is also due for a software bump. This update will push the device to Android 2.3.4/software version 1.55.531.1 and is also a small bug-fixer. If you're a MT4GS owners and haven't yet gotten notified of the update on your handset, you can check for it manually by following the same steps mentioned up above. And hey, while you're downloading, you can check out the changelog down below! Just remember to give us a shout in the comments below when you're done.
