ASUS Eee Pad Transformer

Owners of the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime got a bit of a surprise earlier this week when it was revealed that the slate would be receiving its update to Android 4.0 a few days ahead of schedule. Now that the upgrade has indeed begun rolling out, owners of the original, unprime Transformer are likely wondering when they'll get a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich. ASUS said earlier this month that that device's update would arrive as soon as possible after the Prime's, and now the company has given the folks at Android Police a slightly more concrete window, telling the site that the Transformer's Android 4.0 update will be pushed out by early February.

So Transformer folk, it sounds like you may have to put up with a few more weeks of Prime users gloating about their update before sinking your teeth into Ice Cream Sandwich. That's definitely kind of a bummer, but hey, at least you know that the update is still on its way and now even have a window of time to look forward to. As the saying goes, good things desserts come to those who wait, so sit tight and think about the first few things you'll do once ICS is loaded up on your Transformer and early February will be here before you know it.
