Verizon's 4G LTE network spreading to five new markets on January 19th, expanding in another three

Hot on the heels of Verizon introducing several new LTE-enabled handsets at CES 2012, the carrier has announced that it's spreading its 4G network to a handful of new markets tomorrow. The total number of cities that'll be graced with Verizon LTE coverage on the 19th is five, while another trio of markets can expect to Thursday to bring expanded 4G coverage. Want the full list? Bam!:
New markets
- Glens Falls and Utica, N.Y.
- Lawton, Okla.
- Brownsville and McAllen, Texas
Expansions
- Atlanta, Ga.
- Houston, Texas
- Spokane, Wash.
Certainly not the largest Verizon 4G LTE expansion we've ever seen, but hey, we'll gladly take any kind of network growth when we can get it. It's also worth noting that our pals at VZBuzz heard yesterday that Verizon LTE was live in Peoria, Ill., but we've yet to hear anything official from the folks at Big Red on the matter. Live in one of the newly-minted 4G networks? Feel free to do a little dance in the comments below.
