ASUS Eee Pad Transformer ICS update mid-February

Ready for another round of "Good News, Bad News"? We'll start with the good news: In response to a question on Facebook about how long it'll take for the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer's update to Ice Cream Sandwich to be approved by Google, ASUS's North American arm has given a new timeframe for when we can expect the new software to arrive. The bad news? It's still about a month out, as ASUS told its lifelong fan that he should expect to see the Transformer's Android 4.0 update sometime in mid-February.

So there you go, Transformer owners. It's kind of a bummer that it'll still be another month or so before you can take a bite out of Google's latest dessert, but hey, at least now you've got a window of time to look forward to. Good on ASUS for keeping us in the loop as we wait for the Transformer's update to arrive. Let's just hope that it doesn't hit squarely on Valentine's Day, because if it does, there may just be some canceled plans and upset partners as a result.
