A couple of days ago, we heard a rumor that Samsung's plans for Mobile World Congress may not include the debut of the Galaxy S III like many had anticipated. Bummer, right? Well if a new rumor from Android and Me is to be believed, the company could have a different device up its sleeve that you might be interested in. The site claims that Samsung will introduce a new Galaxy Tab at MWC that packs a 2GHz dual-core Exynos 5250 processor as well as a display that's "larger than 10 inches" and features a resolution of 2560x1600. This mystery slate is also said to be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Android and Me's own Taylor Wimberly claims to have come face to face with the tablet at CES and apparently even took some photos, but he says that Samsung asked that they be deleted before the meeting was up.

Keeping up with the unannounced Samsung product news, it seems that a new device bearing the model number GT-i9300 has been spotted on the Global Download Center of Samsung's own United Arab Emirates. There's no name attached to the number, but it's thought that it may be the upcoming Galaxy S III. The reasoning behind that guess? The original Galaxy S line featured the i90xx model number, the Galaxy S II variants were i91xx, and the Galaxy Nexus is the i9250. Of course, it's worth noting that at this point this is all just speculation. You can find a screenshot showing the i9300 model number below.

So what do you all make of the rumor about Samsung's high-res Galaxy Tab? It may not be a Galaxy S III, but it sounds like something that Samsung could capture some attention with at a big show like MWC. Oh, and if the rumored specs for the tablet sound familiar, well, they should: we heard a very similar rumor from BGR early last month that included the same features. That rumor also mentioned that the mystery slate would feature a screen measuring 11.6 inches, but that the body itself wouldn't be much bigger than a Galaxy Tab 10.1 due to its thin bezel. It certainly sounds like a nice piece of hardware, but we'll have to wait for MWC at the end of next month before we'll know for sure if it's the real deal. Stay tuned.
