Samsung Infuse 4G Gingerbread update paused

Last week AT&T announced an update to Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread for the Samsung Infuse 4G, much to the delight of the handset's owners everywhere. Unfortunately, it looks like the Infuse 4G crowd will have to go back to waiting for Gingerbread once again, as AT&T and Samsung have put things on hold due to an issue with the update. The following statement can be found on a Samsung support page for the update:
"We currently have put a hold on the update. Samsung and AT&T are aware of the issue with the Infuse 4G Update and are developing a fix."
Bummer, no? AT&T has confirmed to Android Central that it's "working with Samsung to get this resolved as quickly as possible," but there's no word yet on when the update process might get going once again. Obviously we'll pass along more details as soon as we get them. Were any of you able to get Gingerbread up and running on your Infuse before the update was put on hold? If so, how's it working?
