Looks like the leaky faucet of Verizon information is continuing to flow tonight. Earlier today we got some details on a trio of upcoming Android handsets that are headed to Big Red's shelves, and now a document has surfaced showing the release dates for the LG Cayman and DROID Fighter, both of which first popped up on our radar last month. This new doc alleges that the Cayman, which Droid-Life believes is the LG Lucid 4G that we heard about this afternoon, is set to arrive on March 29th. Meanwhile, the mysterious DROID Fighter has been pegged as launching a couple of weeks later on April 12th.
As you may have noticed, there are also a few devices on this list without a release date. First is the ZTE V66, a 4G LTE Android tablet that passed through the FCC in December and starred in an image leak in January. Then there's the Samsung Plato, which we first learned about waaay back in August. However, we're still as in the dark about the Plato now as we were back then. Last is the HTC Fireball, which we've heard may become the HTC DROID Incredible 4G at launch.
So what do we know about the two devices on the document that do have release dates, the LG Cayman and DROID Fighter? Not much just yet. It's thought that the Cayman/Lucid 4G could be some type of mid-range Android handset since the LG Spectrum is still fairly new, but we won't know for sure until Verizon makes the thing officially official. And the DROID Fighter? No one's even sure who manufactures that particular device. Thankfully, if the rumored release dates for the Cayman and Fighter hold true, they won't be shrouded in mystery much longer.
