Interested in seeing what kind of tablet the folks at Nokia can churn out after seeing their first few Windows Phones? If so, you'll be excited to hear what Nokia design chief Marko Ahtisaari recently told Finnish magazine Kauppalehti Optio. According to Reuters, Ahtisaari told the mag that Nokia is "working on it," it being a tablet, and that he's devoting a third of his time to crafting the device. Unfortunately for us, the exec didn't drop any other details on the upcoming slate.

This isn't the first time that we've heard that a Nokia tablet is in the works, as rumblings of a Windows 8-powered device were making the rounds just a few days ago, but it is certainly the most straightforward bit of information about the mysterious product that we're gotten. Of course, there's still a lot we don't know about this Nokia slate. The fact that Nokia's head of design is dedicating a third of his time to working on it is definitely encouraging. Raise your hand in the comments below if you'd like to check out a Nokia tablet.
