Just moments ago, HTC and Sprint took the stage here in New York to announce their latest "collaboration." We had a pretty good idea of what to expect as we entered the event, and our expectations were met, although the name of the phone caught of off guard. Instead of the HTC EVO One, HTC and Sprint announced the HTC EVO 4G LTE. Its specifications include a 4.7-inch 720p Super LCD display, 8-megapixel f/2.0 ImageSense camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 chip, NFC, 1GB RAM, Beats Audio (both hardware and system-wide software). Lastly, the device features a non-removable 2,000mAh battery.

All I have to say is I'm honestly taken aback by this phone. I wasn't very interested in the leaks and rumors. But after getting a little hands-on with it, I have to say I am thoroughly impressed! Time will tell if this is the device to have!

The HTC EVO 4G LTE will be available for $199.99 in the second quarter and pre-orders for the device begin May 7th. Check out the gallery below for a better look at the HTC EVO 4G LTE! Also, give us your thoughts on the device in the comments below!

Danny Colón López The HTC One X design looks better by far...
Maxi Fabián Im amazed with the new Qualcomm S4's performance.. I'd pick it instead of Tegra 3.
David Kimberlin damn right...shall be my next phone loves my OG evo... this shall be no different .... wish we got the quad core though ... is what it is though
Kevin Knox I have been rockin evo's since they came out..sense ui..is the freakin bomb..beats touch wiz by miles..n rooted..thing is off the chain..sorry ppl i have both evo's n a 4s, also the s2..now for speed the s2 rockes but overall my evo 3d is a bad matha..but the comments for carrier issues..un founded, where i live sprint is bomb..and i am unlimited...so i am not sure why ppl say stupid stuff about carriers..all depends on where u live n how long been with
Nelson Filpo The back looks ugly... the one x is beautiful compare to this.
Emmanuel Ramos Yes it is
David G. Hiltner Very nice construction using metal rather than plastic. My next phone!
Cesar Samaniego Meh, went from blackberry (lol @ me) to Evo 3D to Nexus S 4G and right now rocking the GS2 Epic. All my previous phones I couldn't wait to try something different, with the GS2 which I've had for like 4 months now I don't have that desire. Sticking with what works and GS3 will be my next phone, I expect it to be much better than this new Evo. Although this thing looks legit as hell
Eric Quach nexus with jellybean.
David G. Hiltner Superior Build Quality as compared to anything Samsung! A Homerun for HTC and Sprint!
David Harness Nah. It's on Sprint and doesn't beat the Razr Max in battery life or even come close
Gerardo Ortega The only one that was a quad processor is HTC one S from tmobile because they don't have LTE.
Omar Leon S4 Krait has outperform the tegra 3 in almost all departments. Tegra 3 is a joke. Exynos, S4 Snapdragon and A5X all are better chips
Anton Lemeza Same processor and ram as Skyrocket? How is that more impressive?
Bronson Chad Thomas I just got the EVO 3D and love it! But this looks pretty rad too!
Cesario Brito Jr. It just may be.....until the GS3 comes out.
Zach Cline The international htc one x is quad core. The AT&T version is dual core because the chipset used in the international version doesn't work with LTE
Aaron Jones The phone looks awesome. I hope sprints service can keep up. Right now they suck
Mark Nuzzo The international variant is quad core therefore they should distribute it evenly. Nothing ridiculous about that request when you are shoveling out $200
Jake Bonnett I'm confused, how would this be anywhere near the X with a dual core cpu? The X is quad core.
Mark Nuzzo No quad core.....no thank you
Angel Rodriquez Sprint and htc did good job.
Howie Eastin It's an ugly phone...why wouldn't the back be all one piece....and I'm sorry, physical buttons just don't need to be on a smartphone
Henry Murillo Looks just like the old 3D except, well, the 3D
Aaron Geels Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual core chip can easily outperform the tegra 3 any day. Plus qualcomm is already compatible with LTE. People begging for quad cores are ridiculous, you'll never know the difference in daily use, I'd much rather have the S4, after having the Rezound with the S3. Quad core in a phone is more of bragging right than anything
Richard Halm Htc phones suck my galaxy s2 put htc phones to shame
Karla Glass Love the Evo and this one will be even better, can't wait!!!
Kong Yang Yes. No phone can touch it at the moment. It has the best of everything. HD screen, big battery, kickstand, slim profile, and LTE.
Austin Ochoa Lol all they did was add LTE too it wow...... Dumber> Dumb
Michael Franzone cant wait for this phone
Andrew Veale Didn't the Thunderbolt do this?
Ayo Q Sipho No cause I'm sure next week or month another phone will come out and you'll ask the same question which is the best. How bout ask what phone fits you. Food for thought
Compton Himself The HTC One X is the EVO. It's the same damn phone just a different name
Richard Jesse Salinas Wow dual core? Lol the gs3 is going to blast this thing away! Till then my galaxy nexus should hold me off
Mario Lujan It's such a shame that te evo is stuck on such a lousy carrier :/
Keith UnCool Nicholson How Is the one X better?
Igor Rebenko the One X international version is better
Dalton Aeschlimann No, the new HTC One series is...
Don FatMan Parker Sr. No.. its just another android phone and that's all it will be
Daniel Cuadrado Every week there is a new Android phone claiming to be the best. It's so confusing!
Jordan Richman if Nvidia fixes the issues with LTE and their Tegra 3 processor, the Evo 4G LTE will most likely come with the Tegra 3 which is quad core.
Vincent Jean no no no. a fusion of evo 3d and 4g.. with lte
Carlos Nava galaxy s3 will kill any phone ...until the IPhone 5 Comes out of course ....
Elliott Pouncie HTC One X....hands down
Eric LeBlanc I'll be surprised if Sprint rolls out a decent LTE Network, which I know it probably won't. I dropped their service for a reason, its no good.
Jan Michael Cruz Huh?? You kidding right? GSIII or OneX
Mike DeHart Not HTC phones suck
Darrion Smith HELL NOOOOO, It Aint Even Quad Core.
Tonio Johnson Lets see what else this year has to offer before we make that judgement.
Nelson Quiles I'm getting the ATT LG Encore...I watch your video review on You Tube about it....thanks for the info......
Steve Hartsock HTC One X > GS 3 > EVO One
Zak Raptis I really like it. I love how they went back to the basics of the original Evo 4G. My ONLY problem with the original was battery. Overall that was the best phone I ever owned. I do love my Motorola Photon though :)
Jamar Eccleston no the gs3 will be :P
