HTC EVO Design 4G Sprint

Looks like HTC EVO Design 4G owners are getting a nice end of the work week surprise, as Sprint has announced that a software update is available to the device starting today. The update is software version 2.12.651.8 and features a "Security Update" as its lone enhancement. Sprint says that EVO Design 4G users can initiate the update starting today by heading into Menu > Settings > System updates > HTC software update. If you're not in a rush, though, notifications of the update's availability will begin going out on April 17th.

This latest update for the EVO Design 4G is definitely a minor one, but hey, it's always good to see new software being pushed to a device no matter its size. Plus, HTC has already confirmed that the EVO Design 4G will be receiving a bump to Android 4.0, so now all you EVO Design folk need to do is sit back and wait for HTC and Sprint to unwrap your Ice Cream Sandwich treat. Until then, be sure to give us a shout once you get this 2.12.651.8 update installed to let us know how it's working for you.
