I'm at BlackBerry World 2012 in Orlando, Florida and it's kicking off with a special keynote with none other than RIM CEO Thorsten Heins. Although it's been supposedly confirmed that we won't see any new Blackberry devices, we're still hopeful that RIM will announce something interesting or at least give us a look at BlackBerry 10 and what they have planned for the future. This is a big moment for RIM and all eyes are on them to pick things up after a horrible year. We know there will be big developments towards the end of the year, but many people wonder if it will be too late by that time. Will there be any surprises at BlackBerry World? Will Thorsten give us something to keep things interesting? Keep it on this page as I live blog from the Keynote session.
This is an active stream. There is no need to refresh this page in order to see updates. Any new updates will appear in real time, just leave this page open.

They're showing off BB10. "Glance" feature means you can "flow" from one app to another. Kinda like sliding through cards. The motion is manual not automatic. What I mean is, just because you get to a certain spot in the slide motion, the other app doesn't automaticaly pop up. You can slide the from app all the way to the edge, but you still have control over it. Glance.

I really do love BlackBerry even though I've left them and have an Android. I'm really hoping they get their stuff together and start delivering good products.
Zach Cline
Not going to happen seeing as how they're about four years behind everyone else.
Leonard Harrison
What's a Blackberry? Hard to believe a company that invented the smartphone is on it's last leg. It is sad but the realities of our world is the better technology is going to win and resting on your laurels in this world is nothing more than a slow, painful death. I wish Blackberry could come out with the next great smartphone and really push the competition.
Jeff Irvine
Maybe if there was an announcement that they're moving to Android? Otherwise, not at all.
Andrew Johnson
Not at all. My guess is they will announce the same phone but add a nee number at the end :-P
