If hitting the beach for some sun while simultaneously accessing a 4G network sounds like your idea of a fun summer, Verizon has some good news for you. The carrier today announced several new markets that'll soon be gaining 4G LTE coverage, and included in the list are several northeastern beaches and other summer vacation spots. Here are the latest cities named by Verizon, along with information on when the coverage will be going live and which areas will be seeing it:

  • Sheridan, Wyo. (coming weeks)

This is the second batch of 4G LTE expansions announced by Verizon this week, as Big Red revealed a couple of days ago that a handful of other eastern U.S. cities will also be gaining LTE coverage later this month. It's worth noting that the LTE switch occasionally gets flipped in new markets a tad earlier than the date given by Verizon, so if you live in one of the areas listed either today or in the previous post, you may want to begin checking to see if 4G coverage is already live in your neck of the woods. Any of you located in these new markets?
