The HTC One X steals the #1 position in the Mobile Tech Expert's chart in PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™, ending the long reign of Apple's iPhone 4S. Topping both the People's Choice and Mobile Tech Expert's Charts, HTC's One X is now the phone to beat. Will Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S III be the one to do it?

MT. PLEASANT, SC - PhoneDog Media’s Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) continues to set the standard for ranking the latest and greatest smartphones available in the mobile marketplace. Making waves this week, the HTC One X takes the #1 spot in both charts, edging out the long-reigning Apple iPhone 4S as champion by one point on the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart and holding its spot in the People’s Choice Chart for the second consecutive week.

In the People's Choice Chart, everything remained the same. The Nokia Lumia 900 held it's #2 position with 257 votes and the Samsung Galaxy Note stayed in the #3 spot with 148 votes. The Apple iPhone 4S fell from first to second in the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart with 42 points. And once again, the #3 spot was filled by the HTC One S with 21 points.

New to the charts this week

  • Samsung Focus 2 - AT&T

“HTC One X’s dominance of both the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice Rankings prove the success of the manufacturer’s new One series,” said Aaron Baker, Editor-in-Chief of PhoneDog.
