AT&T refreshes its international data plansAlex Wagner - Deputy Managing Editor, News Desk
AT&T today took the wraps off of a trio of new international data plans for customers interested in taking their smartphone, tablet or mobile broadband device overseas. The new global data add-ons will be available starting June 1, with pricing starting at $30 per month and the overage rate for all plans set at $30 for 120MB. Here's how AT&T's new international data packs break down:
- 120MB for $30 per month
- 300MB for $60 per month
- 800MB for $120 per month
There new data plans can be used in 135 countries around the world, including Bermuda, French Guiana and Liechtenstein. The full list of countries can be found here. In countries where AT&T's global data add-on's aren't compatible, customers will be charged pay-per-use rates for data use. These new global data plans are quite a bit cheaper than AT&T's current (for the rest of today, anyway) plans, which carry prices like $199.99 for 800MB of data, so I'm sure globetrotting AT&T customers are glad to see that these new offerings will soon be here. AT&T's full announcement is below.
