Right on schedule, AT&T this morning began accepting pre-orders for its Samsung Galaxy S III. And while the carrier still hasn't announced an official release date, it does shed some light on when pre-order devices are expected to begin shipping. During the pre-order process for the Galaxy S III, AT&T mentions that orders are scheduled to ship on Monday, June 18. Verizon also began taking Galaxy S III pre-orders today, and the carrier's website says that orders will ship by July 9, which lines up with the leaked date that we saw yesterday, though Droid-Life claims that confirmation emails also list July 6.
Along with kicking off pre-sales, both AT&T and Verizon have also revealed their no contract pricing for the Galaxy S III. If you'd prefer to pick up the newest Galaxy S family member without signing away two years of your mobile life, you can expect to pony up $549.99 for the 16GB AT&T Galaxy S III or $599.99 for the 16GB Verizon model, while the 32GB Verizon model is priced at $649.99. That's obviously a bit more than you'll pay for a subsidized device, but hey, no one ever said that living a commitment-free life would be cheap. You can find the pre-order links for both AT&T and Verizon at their respective links below. Any of you already pulled the trigger on a Galaxy S III this morning?
