Nokia Lumia 710 T-Mobile

Heads up, Nokia Lumia 710 and 800 owners: Nokia has announced that a new software update has begun rolling out to your device. The update will bump users up to Windows Phone Tango and brings with it a handful of new features, including flip-to-silence and Internet sharing, the latter of which will allow Lumia 710 and 800 owners to turn their device into a mobile hotspot with support for up to five connected devices. The update will also give the 710 and 800 access to the Camera Extras, Contact Share and Play To apps. T-Mobile has put a post on its Lumia 710 support forums announcing that an update to software version 7.10.8773 is now available and includes the following tweaks:

  • Internet sharing enabled
  • Resolves keyboard disappearing randomly
  • Resolves unlock screen getting stuck
  • Improvements to uplink speed
  • Improvements to camera quality
  • Improvements to proximity sensor
  • Improvements to software stability

Sounds like a nice list of enhancements for Lumia 710 folk on T-Mobile. If you own either the Lumia 710 or 800, you can get the update by plugging your handset into your computer and firing up either the Zune software on Windows or the Windows Phone 7 Connector on Mac. And once you do get the update, why not celebrate by telling us all about it in the comments section below?
