Ready for a round of "Good News, Bad News"? The good news is that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is available for purchase once again in the Devices section of Google Play, just a day after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit temporarily stayed the injunction against the handset. The bad news? While you can finally click that "Add to Cart" button once again, there's a small message above it that says that the device is expected to ship in two to three weeks.
Google lists the phone as shipping with Android 4.0, but the product page also says "soon with Android 4.1, Jelly Bean," and the company has said before that the update to Android 4.1 is expected to start in mid-July, so the latest Android treat isn't far off for the Galaxy Nexus. While it's definitely a bit of a bummer that orders aren't slated to begin going out for another couple of weeks, it's still nice to see the Galaxy Nexus available for purchase once again. And if you've been on the fence about picking one up, it might not be a bad idea to place your order now, even if you have to wait a couple of weeks for it to arrive. After all, who knows what'll happen next in the legal battle between Apple and Samsung.
UPDATE: Looks like the bad news portion of this news just got a little less bad, as the Galaxy Nexus is now listed as shipping within one to two weeks.
