For the second consecutive week, the Samsung Galaxy S III takes the #1 position in both the People's Choice Chart and Mobile Tech Expert's Chart in PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™. Still holding off the competition by a significant margin, it seems the Samsung Galaxy S III will hold the top spot in both charts for the foreseeable future.

MT. PLEASANT, SC - For 20 weeks and counting, PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has set the standard for ranking the market's hottest smartphones through reader votes and expert rankings. The Samsung Galaxy S III takes the top position in both charts this week. In the People's Choice Chart, it held the HTC One X off by 114 votes and in the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, it bested the HTC One X by 17 points.

There was a lot of movement in the top positions in both charts this week. While the HTC One X held tight in the #2 spot, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus jumped from #6 to #3, beating the Apple iPhone 4S by only 12 votes. The Samsung Galaxy S III (global) reversed positions with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, falling from #3 to #6. As for the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, the HTC One X moved up from third to second, edging out the Apple iPhone 4S by only six points. And in an odd turn of events, the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX jumped from #11 to #4 with 15 total expert points.
