LG Nitro HD AT&T

Mark your calendars, LG Nitro HD owners. AT&T announced today that the Nitro HD's update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will begin rolling out on July 31. The update will include the usual ICS goodies, such as Face Unlock, enhanced multitasking and text input improvements, as well as LG's new Optimus 3.0 UI. Once July 31 rolls around, Nitro HD owners will be able to download the Android 4.0 update by heading over to this page on LG's website.

Along with the Nitro HD update, AT&T also says that it'll soon be pushing out updates to the HTC One X and Inspire. The updates will "enhance performance," and the Inspire's software bump will also bring AT&T Address Book, HTC Sense 3.0 and Task Manager. These updates will begin rolling out "in the coming weeks."

We've known for a while now that the Nitro HD would be receiving a bump to Android 4.0, but it's still good to see AT&T sticking to its word and updating the handset to ICS. It may not be Jelly Bean, but the Nitro's update will bring with it LG's Optimus UI 3.0, so owners will at least be getting a fresh interface to play with. How many of you are rocking an LG Nitro HD on AT&T?
