It was just yesterday that we got our first peek at the Nokia Atlas for Verizon, a Windows Phone 8 handset that may be dubbed "Lumia 822" at launch. The device is back in the news today, though, and this time we're getting a look at this Nokia handset in the flesh plastic courtesy of a couple of photos shared by WMPowerUser. The face of the Atlas/Lumia 822 looks pretty similar to the render that popped up yesterday, and around back we can see an 8-megapixel camera with flash and a Verizon 4G LTE logo. A Settings menu on the device also lists it as have a screen resolution of 800x480.
As has been the case so far, there's no word on exactly when the Lumia 822 might hit Verizon's shelves. However, I'm sure that there are many Windows Phone fans on Big Red that are excited to see Verizon finally getting a new handset running Microsoft's mobile OS, especially since the only other one Verizon has released came out in May 2011. Here's to hoping that the Lumia 822, like its Lumia 810 and 820 brethren, will have exchangeable shells in different colors for folks that'd prefer something other than another plain black phone. So now that we're seeing the Lumia 822 IRL, what do you all think of it?
