Today is the start of a new week, and it looks like Sprint is kicking things off with some freshly-expanded 4G LTE coverage. Sprint this morning announced that its LTE network is now live in a handful of markets across the country, including the Chicagoland area and Wichita Falls, Texas. The list of new areas as listed by Sprint is:

  • Chicago area suburbs, including Addison, Bolingbrook, Des Plaines, Downers Grove, Kankakee, Rockford, Joliet, Naperville, Palatine, Plainfield, Ill., and Gary, Ind.
  • Wichita Falls, Texas
  • New Bedford/Fall River, Mass.
  • Hutchinson and McPherson, Kan.

With this latest expansion, Sprint says that its 4G LTE network is now available in 32 cities. Hesse and Co. recently named over 100 markets in which it plans to light up its LTE service in the coming months, and with today's network growth, Sprint has made progress on reaching its goal. It now says that it plans to bring LTE coverage to 115 markets in the coming months, including downtown Chicago. So, any of you Sprint customers seeing LTE service in one of the towns listed above?
